After 10 kms take the Glasshouse Mountains Exit on the left Follow Glasshouse
Mountains Tourist Drive for 18 kms without exiting

The Australia Zoo entrance is on the right, 3 kms past Beerwah

It's a great day out! It's all very well run and has heaps of native animals.
It's spread over a huge area and most animals are in large enclosures. These is
quite a lot of walking involved to see everything but the free train helps. Food
is available but wasn't great and rather expensive as you might expect. Heaps of
places to eat a packed lunch..

Tuesday, Sept. 5, 2006, Dearest Terri, Bindi Sue and Bob and Steve's father and sisters, We send our very deepest of sympathy and prayers to you all. Over the last 10 years Steve taught me an appreciation for crocs and alligators and other species girls don't usually like and it has enriched my life tenfold. I remember your wedding clips on the show, Terri and how in love you both were and I remember Bindi's birth and how enthusiastic Steve was about sharing all of his Australia with you and knowing that you appreciated the animals as much as he. I remember Holly the wombat and thinking I never even knew what a wombat was and all of the wonderful conservation and preservation you accomplished in so little time. Know, Terri, as a married woman I cannot imagine your pain and will not attempt to even try, but I hope in all of this that I know Steve had you and Bindi and Bob on his mind and went to Heaven knowing your strength and that his spirit will live on through, especially Bindi, she seems to have Steve's wonderful outgoing personality. I even have the talking dolls of you and Steve and I will cherish them. His voice will live on in these dolls and in the legacy you two have made. Much love and many, many prayers for all of you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!So long friend,we will meet someday..........So long Our Croc Hunter Steve.

I'm a young girl, and I've always loved Steve Irwin. I want to be a zoologist when I grow up, so after I graduate, if it's still open I want to work at the Australia Zoo. I always watch his shows. Every time it's on. I was Steve for Halloween when I was seven years old. He's awesome! I love animals, I love his family, I love the zoo workers, i feel like I really know them all. I'm praying for them all. Someday, I'm gonna be just like Steve. Thanks mate, I'm doing my part.

Hello, I am 13 years old and live in Beaverton, Oregon. I have been to Safari Land and saw where Terri used to work. I hope to be a zoologist when I grow up. Currently, I spend my summers working at the Oregon Zoo. I go to camp at the zoo where I learn all about different animals, how to take care of animals and how to tell people visiting the zoo about the animals. This year I worked in the Congo Ranger Satation at the zoo and demonstrated various drums made in Africa. I told people about African arts and crafts and I gave educational talks to people about lion and zebra pelts. I want to be just like Steve Irwin when I grow up and I hope to work with Bindi too. Good luck and I hope to meet all of you one day. Love, Kristen

I don't know if anyone will actually pass this on to the family and extended family, however, here it goes! Obviously you are all aware how much you are all a part of our own lives! Steve was, of course, center stage, but, you were all part of him and so you are part of us too! I don't know all of the names of everyone at Australia Zoo who were close to Steve, but he had a way of making everyone feel like family! Thank you so much for sharing your special treasure with the World! Terri, don't let your publicist push your family, honey, you are strong enough to push back. If your kids need a break or you need a break- take it! Steve would have wanted that more. I hope you get this message! May Jehovah God be with each of you and help to ease your deep sorrow!

RIP Steve Irwin. Wonderful caring man about the environment. I look up to him because he cared soo much and i want to do that one day. When I heard on the news in 2006 that he had died i was shocked i didn\\\'t move and just sat there thinking to myself \\\'hes not dead, hes not dead\\\'. it was the sadest day for australia and the world because we lost a man soo unique and special. I am glad that he did wildlife warriors because everyones still helping no matter what.

yes, steve was the best at what he did. i still find it hard to believe he\'s gone. bindi is a brave and strong little girl. she has the same exuberance as her father. steve was always so ethusiastic about his animals and what he was teaching. i am reading the book \"steve & me\" and it just brings me back when he was still alive. i really believe he is still her in spirit. he had such a strong spirit and i know he is still watching bindi, bob, terri, his friends, and his animals he loved to protect. god bless.
